Two weeks since I have not updated! The past two weeks have been a mix of emotions for me- so many things have happened. One being, my graduation on the 11t of July, of course; then moving to my new house in Cardiff- then it was Mel's graduation four days later, resulting in my three-day stay in Nottingham. Then a tour around Cardiff as one of Mel's friends came to visit for the day, then spending a few days in Cardiff playing video games and then to London to send Mel off; then now back in Cardiff - where I intend to settle down until the day I leave this gorgeous place...
It is late, and I don't know if I'll be able to mention everything that happened within the fortnight since I last posted. Ah well.. you know what they say; one picture tells one thousand words:
To be honest, it was a good day but I didn't really enjoy my Graduation; no one to blame but me, I suppose, because I was already upset when the day started. Even though I'm happy that Jay and Mel became my proud 'parents' during that day, I couldn't help feeling sad that my mum and dad couldn't see me in my big day of success. My mum couldn't go because of lack of funds... and because no one else could take care of my siblings; and my dad couldn't go because... well... he's just not here. And living in a house full of your housemates' family members wasn't helping me cope with the pain that mine were not around.
The day got worse when I found out that most of my close friends at Uni didn't even register for the ceremony, so they were not there at all- so I never got to say goodbye to them. So I thought maybe going around Cardiff to take good photographs of me in my Grad-gear could cheer me up, but the buses in Cardiff chose to run ever so slow that day, so we only managed to get to the Bay.
But all was not lost I suppose. Because we managed to get some really good photographs:
The next two days were spent packing and cleaning my room until it was all spick and span, clean and hmm... lifeless? Basically I got rid of everything that didn't belong to the room, until it looked as if it had never been lived in. I couldn't even believe it was my room when I last left it. So Empty!
On the 14th, we left Cardiff for Nottingham for Mel's graduation ceremony the next day. I don't have her permission for putting up all her photos here so I'm just going to put up one of them - for revenge! Nah... hehe... I just want to say I'm proud of you too Mel. The most important thing you need to know is you worked really hard, and that's what really matters.
Hehe... after that I had to return the camera... so I don't really have anymore pictures to show.It is rather late now so I should really be going off to bed. Though maybe I should rephrase that being I am literally on the bed right now. Till next time then... :)
